it's been awhile fellas, , but theres a good reason. t4r.org is one of the worst websites i have ever visited!!! why? because everytime i visit this site, i realize what my truck lacks and i NEED to spend money to spoil my 4r! so last nite i am checking out this site after a long haitus and i come across this recent posting of Ghost Rider's new TRD kit off ebay. THREAD i'm thinking, wow that is one SWEET kit!! so i cruise on over to ebay just to see what the auction prices are for an exhaust kit. i tell myself, i am just looking! 12 hours later and $565 less ($15 for s&h) i am now the new owner of a Borla Dual Exhaust kit thanks to buy it now! THAT's a STEAL if you ask me. i will post pics once i get the sucka installed. you guys are killin me!

BTW - I feel you on what this site does to your wallet. I am the kind of person that will spend a year planning mods for my cars, but the list for my Runner is about $7K right now. I am trying to prioritize.

the auction specified 2003-2005 v8. it even comes with a hi-po air filter. Once i get the package, how can i be sure of a 4th generation kit? any specific part numbers to look out for? the seller has a pretty high positive feedback (+800) with no negatives. i hope he doenst trick me with a 3rd gen system.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you worry , I just never seen a price that low before for a 4th gen. borla. The reason why I thought it may be a 3rd gen. is that typical prices for those are around what you paid. Take a look at this auction for a 3rd gen. borla, it's $554.99:

i have never seen the exhaust system so low of a price either unless it is a single exit and smaller engine setup. it was at an auction price of $529, but i nabbed it up at the buy now price of $550. i was afraid some other t4r member would see it and take my deal! hehe. check out the sellers other auctions too! he carries tons of 4runner goodies.

i finally received my exhaust system. it was a gigantic 6 foot box that almost didnt even fit in my car to bring home from work. so i finally get home and i cant wait, i tear open the box to see my wonderful new borla dual exhaust kit! as i am slowly unpacking all the parts and kissing each piece, i notice that it comes with two new rubber brackets for each exit tailpipe. sweet!
here's my main question, how the heck am i supposed to install the rubber brackets onto the hangers. Those rubber brackets are sooo freakin undersized, How am i supposed to take out the current exhaust system out of those rubber grommets? those suckers are on real good! i plan to install this weekend, but i just wanted to know everything beforehand. if you guys help, ill be sure to post pictures!!!
