So now it's a bidding war between Malone and Kerma.
Malone has been very responsive with conversation that feels like he's talking to me guy to guy.

Kerma has responded a few times with very cold calculated responses, giving more technical mumbo jumbo that a non VW super nut wouldn't understand.

So now i have to decide who gets my money. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow afternoon when I pull the ECU.

If you're just doing immo delete, I'd recommend someone more affordable. I had very similar responses from Kerma, actually much worse. Charlie is beyond arrogant. Be sure to check out the other players as well. Rocketchip is amazing, and Mike at TDTUNING handles the more extreme builds of TDI Club.

You might also consider a tuner who will give free retunes. I imagine you'll be changing nozzles, MAP sensors, turbos, etc over the life of the truck.

Sounds like you're staying with eTDI, which is good to hear. You won't be disappointed. With just a set of $150 nozzles, the ALH turns into an incredible motor.

Now timing belt and clean up with new seal for timing cover and oil pan.
ECU shipped to Malone today.

I have to get rid of the donor car Monday and pull the 4runner in for demolition!!!

So excited now!!!

Tore the body apart and found some disturbing news. The floors are gone. It must have happened just this year.
I want to find a rust free or less rusty body to modify.
So the hunt is on for a nicer first gen. Wish me luck as I will be waiting to install the TDI until I get the body situation figured out.
I'm willing to trade a spare straight axle frame for a solid body if anyone has one?
