Just passing this on to whoever wants to take advantage of this. I bought my BD R Sport last year taking advantage of the BD rebate. I just found out today that the new version is 3100 lumens vs mine which is 1900 lumens. Jason at BD says you can have them upgraded for $40. If you're local then you can drop them off then go grab lunch and they be ready. That's pretty good upgrade and service.

did he say anything about those of us that have them mounted in our bumpers? is it something we could tackle at home?

I don't know. You will have to ask them. I would think it would be a warranty issue of you did it yourself. Also, it's $40 per led which I think is expensive considering how much I already paid for them. It's almost as much as the pro. I think the upgrade should be free or less.

I just put the updated version of the squadrons on my Tundra and they're pretty awesome. Definitely plan on getting some for the 4Runners now!
