Baja Designs Squadron SAE Lights

I've not received a response to my email and when I try calling the number, it says it is no longer in service.

Anyone else having issues contacting them?

Would I be able to make an order for the newly tested and SAE compliant Squadrons knowing the wait time will be about 3-4 weeks?

Just purchased LEDs for headlights but don't want to install them until I get the BD SAE Squadrons.

Almost decided to go with the OEM LED fog lights (the ones on TRD Pro) but I didn't want to deal with getting a lamin-x amber film cover.

We are waiting on Baja Designs to confirm any possible changes to SAE Lights like Part Numbers.

Hopefully we will have an update to share later today.

As for the previous post/s regarding Phone Number and Email. Not sure if that is in reference to us,
but our Contact Details have not changed and there are no outstanding messages for BD SAE Lights
from us.

Called their normal number and got it all worked out. They are having issues with emails not going through and are looking into the issues I had with the number provided in the email.

I'm on the list for the update kit once it is ready. They said they should be out to everyone before the end of the year!

Sorry, been traveling for the holidays. I ordered directly from Baja Designs and just swapped the original lens for the new lens with insert.

I ordered from Total Automotive, sent Baja an email, no response after a few days, so I called them and they added me to the list, they responded to the email not long after. I received the new lenses a week or two ago.

Yes, they send you a new front lens (Amber or Clear) that has a black border around each bulb with a rectangular cut out.

Nice! I am going to wait out on the Diode Dynamics comparison video that is supposed to come out in the coming weeks. Going to see how BD holds up against the new LED Fog Pods from DD before I make my purchase. Leaning more towards BD now though. Do you plan on posting some photos of what the new lens look like at night? And is there any gap between the pods and the 4runner's housing? From your last photo, it looks pretty flushed.

I called BD and they have lenses in stock. They took my information over the phone and said they will ship the kit (lens, gasket, hardware) by end of the week. I purchased through Total A. and the person I spoke to did ask for a copy of the purchase invoice but processed the information without it and I sent it afterwards.

From what he said, they cut the upper section down just enough to be within reg with a slightly flatter look if I understood correctly. Still wide but not much difference overall.

sicnarfone - They are a pain if you don't remove the lower bumper section (small screws on outside of mount you can't see. Rt side little worse than left. They have a very slight amount of adjustment up/down and there is a very small amount of space that allows mentioned movement but nothing obvious.

No. The sport and pro lights are not fog lights anyway, they are offroad only. This fix is only intended for the SAE fog squadron lights, to control the amount of glare above the cutoff in the pattern. It's also not a great implementation anyway, as you're physically blocking light output in order to meet compliance. Extremely inefficient.

Its not as high or spread as it was before, more focused to the area right in front of the truck.
