Baja Rack Rear ladder coming soon!

I spoke with John at Baja Racks and as I thought they do have a ladder for the 5th gen. He sent me the directions and pictures. I have ordered it. Should be here in a couple weeks. I will post up some pictures once installed.

Yes, I'd like to see the pictures too. Can you post the ones you got from John? I'd like an alternate choice to the Gobi Rack ladder. After seeing a recent thread about installing the Gobi ladder I wasn't impressed with how it is placed and anchored on top of the door.

I would have loved a Baja ladder to match my Baja rack but like most bought the Gobi awhile ago.... No figment issues at least and it doesn't hit or anything so I'm happy with my purchase. Baja rack really missed the boat with the this but I hope it works out and they still sell a lot.
 
Ordered the baja ladder last year and its been sitting in my garage since :(. Its on my to-do list once I get a day off from work in the fall.

I'll try to snap some pictures of mine tonight.

Once I receive it I'll add some proper pictures and review. I plan on adding 3M clear bra to where it mounts and a full strip behind it so if anyone's boots kick the door it doesn't do permanent damage. The ladder in general should be a quite welcome addition with the RTT. Plus now I can have a trasharoo! ;)

Thanks for reply! I just need aladder, already have a roof rack.
That ladder looks like for fj, they probably just changed theinstallation brackets. :becky:

Thanks for the ladder illustrations. I like the top plate bracket more than the one on the Gobi Ladder. And the bottom bracket looks like it would work well too.

I look forward to your photos. Try to take a few of the brackets as they are installed. The instructions only expand just so far and are a bit hard to see. TIA.

Yea. Not sure why they went with the curved ladder. All the photos I saw prior to ordering were the straight design. :shrug::shrug: I think the one in the instructions/pics is the prototype. Only thing I can think of.

I may be a bit biased but the Gobi rack just looks better imo. Mine seems really strong and it's more than "tape" holding it on. I do think that curve looks unique but those bolts at the bottom just don't do it for me.
