Baja Road Trip to Scorpion Bay (San Juanico)

Anyone in here ever done this trip? Thinking about packing up the 4 runner for a summer trip down to Scorpion Bay via the North Road. Anyone here ever made the trip? Suggestions?

I've obviously never done it before, so if anyone else is down to caravan, let me know. Looking at some time in July.

I just went down to Punta Abreojos (just to the north of Scorpion Bay) a few weeks ago. Went in and out at the Mexicali border crossing. Didn't want to deal with the beach towns and traffic at San Ysidro. There is a lot of new road down the 5 which was really nice, and one ~30mile section just south of Gonzaga Bay that is dirt which was fun. But it was a super easy drive. Definitely suggest splitting up the drive into at least 2 days.
