Bumping an old thread here, but I'd like to see more on this rack.

Does anyone know how much height this rack adds over the stock 2016 rack?

I currently fit in my garage and would like to keep it that way

Baja spy light rack

Maybe someone can help me, I have a 2016 4runner SR5 premium and have been looking at the Baja rack with spy light system. My question is, for the front two brackets (driver door and passenger door), do you have to drill new holes? Or are there pre-drilled holes? I want to make sure that before I order the rack, I know what I'm getting myself into and would really like to not void the extended warranty I purchased when I got the car.

Front brackets rest on the gutter rails and do not need drilling in to the roof for installation

How strong is the motor?

I like the concept but where i live the winters are snowy and icy, and I'd be afraid of the unit freezing up and the motor burning out.

Thoughts?

Awesome, thanks! Are they just held down with some sort of an adhesive strip? And the middle brackets and rear brackets just bolt into the original holes that the stock roof rack were in?

I just ordered my rack, but I'm curious about how much room I will get in the back to mount lights.
Could you take a picture showing how much room from the rear of the rack to the rear hatch when opened?

Also, do you have the ability to slid rack forward or back from where you placed it?
