Been a member of this forum since 2009/2010 starting with my 1999 4runner SR5. That was highschool/college time for me and my parents gave me their 4runner to use which eventually became mine.

1st Build Thread

Fast forward a bit and I sold the car with over 300k miles. I was distraught but also finishing up college during that time using public transportation, friends and my bike around campus. After finishing college, I bought my first car which I still have! 2003 Nissan 350z 6sMT bone stock. Ended up dumping quiet a bit into that and started autocross which led into track days. GREAT FUN! Moved from Atlanta to Boston to start graduate school and a career and the Z came with me. Now New England winters are rough and my first winter here was in 2014 when we had record snowfall and the Z was grounded all winter. Luckily I was living in the city and used public transportation to commute around. After a few winters here I didn't want to bash on the Z and needed something for the winter which led to this!

2014 4runner SR5 (my first 4wd vehicle as well)

This thread serves as updates to the 4runner as well as pics!

Day 1: Drove it off the lot and these are the first pictures I have of it.

Started off with WeatherTech Floor mats, laminX fog covers, bug/hood guard/deflector and tinted windows 35% all around. Also got a set of TRD wheels with 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 for a great deal! It changed up the look of the truck real quick!

Also took the time to do some maintenance, changed out the cabin filter, air filter and then took into toyota to get an oil change

Took its first trip from Boston to Toronto over 2018 Holiday Season!

Thanks to a local T4R member here, I picked up TRD PRO Bilstein suspension along with Toytec 2'' lift kit. I had a local shop install and they put the rear toytec 2'' springs in however did not put the front suspension completely together. The toytec front lift for the TRD PRO consists of 2 spacers; 1 is a top plate and the other sits on bottom spring perch. They contacted me and told me that it might ride stiff with it so I held off. Hindsight 20/20 I should of just told them to install it all-together. Not their fault! I contacted Toytec and they said just installing the top plate spacer for that kit would yield 1/2inch to 3/4inch of lift. Anyways I still have it and will most likely add it in after this winter is over.

At the same time I ordered 275/70/17 BFG KO2s and had them mounted. Spidertrax 1.25'' spacers en route thanks to a T4R member!

Pics are with the lift and 275s, no spacers yet!

More pics to come after the spacers and CB install!
Most of these pictures are coming from my phone so the dimensions are different.

Man those rims really did change the look! I've always been a fan of a darker overall style and "less flashy" rims like the ones you got. 4Runner already looks great with such little work, very nice! I'm sure it will only get better. :biggrin1:
Edit: Was typing that when you posted the picture of the lift but I guess that just goes to prove my last sentence.
