I'm not seeing a product on their website for light duty vehicles. That might answer the question. My take on the off-road application is that it's intended to be used when traditional balancing methods are not possible.
you running 40" tractor tires or something?
I put about 25 golf balls in each of my 40" bias ply tires. Seems to work pretty well once they warm up, considering...
I have run airsoft pellets in my 5th gen for a bit on some Toyo tires they couldn't balance. Toyo finally bought them back.
The idea works pretty well. It's not new. Been around for as long as I can remember. But shouldn't be necessary on tires this size for our type of use. And you have to use quite a bit to get it to work properly. Airsoft pellets are a lot cheaper. Buy the heavier weight ones. Put about 1 cup full in each tire.
Did you use a weight chart (for example from from DynaBeads site) for total amount of beads, as I said, too much is not good, it will never balance
I just guessed based on rough amount of weight compared to what a typical tire balance range would be. My Toyo tires turned out to be unbalanceable with road force and 16 ounces out of balance in a dynamic balance machine run. So I'm sure I didn't have enough weight to get close to a real balance. But it was better than nothing.
Why would too much cause it to not balance? That seems counter to the physical principle that causes it to balance. (high spot lagging the the heavy spot by 180 degrees after the first critical speed). More beads than necessary should fill the high spot then evenly spread around the remaining balanced tire. The critical value here is that the beads should be roughly similar density as the tire.
My personal suggestion is to buy quality tires and have them balanced on a road force balancing machine. If they balance to zero on a properly calibrated road force balancing machine - they'll run pretty smooth down the road too.
