I'm not seeing a product on their website for light duty vehicles. That might answer the question. My take on the off-road application is that it's intended to be used when traditional balancing methods are not possible.

You can use them any time. I had bad luck wigh them while others say it feels like driving on glass. Ll depends on how much you put in there. And how much you want a mechanic to hate you.
 
you running 40" tractor tires or something?

Ha, not quite.. Just make sense if you are hitting the trails 1/2 times a week with frequent road trips 1-3k

Most places that I've had tires balanced by have always complained about balancing bigger tires so there is that also
 
I put about 25 golf balls in each of my 40" bias ply tires. Seems to work pretty well once they warm up, considering...

I have run airsoft pellets in my 5th gen for a bit on some Toyo tires they couldn't balance. Toyo finally bought them back.

The idea works pretty well. It's not new. Been around for as long as I can remember. But shouldn't be necessary on tires this size for our type of use. And you have to use quite a bit to get it to work properly. Airsoft pellets are a lot cheaper. Buy the heavier weight ones. Put about 1 cup full in each tire.

Never used it on cars but I'm on 4th tire set on my motorcycles using dynabeads (DynaBeads Tire Balancing Beads).
The beads are not recommended on race tires but on all other vehicles, including 4x4s (Tire Balancing Chart Map).
When using beads, the weight instructions needs to be followed, too much weight will throw the tire balance. A little under is ok, over a big NO.

Did you use a weight chart (for example from from DynaBeads site) for total amount of beads, as I said, too much is not good, it will never balance
 
I run counteract beads in my 35 inch Maxxis Creepy Crawlers for my 80 series. They are fantastic on the road when you need them. Don’t have the long spin up time (needing to be over 25-35mph to get them going) other beads seem to have.

I just guessed based on rough amount of weight compared to what a typical tire balance range would be. My Toyo tires turned out to be unbalanceable with road force and 16 ounces out of balance in a dynamic balance machine run. So I'm sure I didn't have enough weight to get close to a real balance. But it was better than nothing.

Why would too much cause it to not balance? That seems counter to the physical principle that causes it to balance. (high spot lagging the the heavy spot by 180 degrees after the first critical speed). More beads than necessary should fill the high spot then evenly spread around the remaining balanced tire. The critical value here is that the beads should be roughly similar density as the tire.

My personal suggestion is to buy quality tires and have them balanced on a road force balancing machine. If they balance to zero on a properly calibrated road force balancing machine - they'll run pretty smooth down the road too.

I agree with you it’s counterintuitive and I guess is due to the fact that it goes on the high spot and builds it there.
On my motorcycle tires I have to use 2oz on the front and 3 oz on the rear. By mistake I used the 3oz bag in the front and the 2oz on the back and while the rear was ok at higher speeds, the front tire was wobbling a lot.
 
Had them in a HD motorcycle. I hated them and made the dealer take them out and do a balance. They caused a lot of shake in the front of the bike.
 
I've been using Equal Flex in mine for a yr now, STT PRO 35s.

Stuff has done wonders, no issues other than when I air down, I pull the inner valve out to do so. Also when checkinging the tire pressure, some jams in between the valve and air leaks out.

Used 8oz bags.
 
Had them in a set of 33's on my Tacoma. They didnt work for me at all. Ended up pulling them and having a road force balance done. No problems after that.
