Im not sure exactly. I ordered mine from Toyotapartszone.com. They show you everything youre getting. Why dont you just do that? It would probably be cheaper that getting them through a local dealer. They had the best prices I could find for OEM

I bought mine from NAPA weeks back, and I got a pretty substantial discount on them too...:trophylus they also came with the bolts!

Heres everything the lowers come with. I ordered these and the uppers from Toyota a few weeks ago, just havent had time to install yet. They dont come with the bolts. Have to salvage them when removing the old joints. But you shouldnt have to cut anything.

Just called dealer in niagara region (canada)

187 DOLLARS each side!!! Holy crap! and the Canadian dollar is higher than the US right now... What gives??

Uppers were a steal at 91 dollars.

I have 260,000 kilometers on me truck.. its probably time for new ones...

I saw that 77 dollar price and called them at toyota of dallas... they only have one side in stock and at that price whats missing? is it actually a toyota part?

It'll take some time before retailers here will reflect on the pricing of commodities based on the current exchange rate with our southern neighbor, that's also provided if our dollar stays in par or better against their dolla.

It's real irritating to think about it but that's what we deal with when it comes to goods.

Try NAPA though, their original LBJ's are just as good as the OEM's, some guys here uses them and can attest to their performance. Got mine for $55 each side...that's only because I know someone who knows someone who works there. She gets her stuff for her car for free...I had to pretend to be her cousin.

Yes, $107 each. It's a lot but not a ton more than online and I didn't want to wait for them in the mail b/c I'll be going to wheeling next week so I decided to pay the extra dealer charge and get them in 2 days.

Exactly my thoughts... Originally was quoted just over $1,000 to have them replaced from the dealer and firestone was just under that so decided to buy the Toyota parts- call my local shop and see what they said - $254 for install + $214 for parts = lots of savings!

Hehe, I just bought both sides from toyota of Dallas, guess I got the last one. That sucks on the price, but still way cheaper than taking it in to have it done.

I agree with Blcktpgsr, try Napa. I almost went with them, but the OEM's were actually slightly cheaper.

It's quite possible that the failure was due to a recall. My fathers 04 Tundra Limited did that pulling into a parking lot one day. The look on the guys face that saw it happened said it all. Luckily the wheel propped the truck up and nothing happened too bad and the dealership fixed it all.

That truck was a peach, never went wrong other than that, even got rearended by a schoolbus, ended up bent in the middle like a boomerang enough that it was clearly obvious and visible and drove perfect still.

Don't pay someone to do the lowers. It's really not that hard. Even easier if you have a tie rod puller, which you can either rent for free or spend 20% of the money you save doing it yourself on one.

The uppers are a bigger PITA as you need a BJ press and I'd pay someone to do those before the lowers.

It's gonna cost a pretty penny to get someone to do all four Ball Joints and then get an alignment after.

Yeah it'll cost a very pretty penny to have someone do the install. I got quoted 637+alignment just to install uppers, lowers, outer tie rods, and a steering rack bushing kit with me supplying the parts. After the quote I did some more inspecting and testing of all the components, and decided to just do the lowers, outer tie rods, and bushing kit myself. My uppers looked and felt good and tight and had no tears in the boot like my lowers, so I'm skipping them. And my inners had no play in them, so I'm skipping them as well. Using all that labor money for some extra tools for the job and a tranny cooler instead. Looks to be an easy job and it'll be good learning.

Just had my LBJs replaced for free at the stealership, since there was a recall and my VIN fell into the category. I'm noticing that it pulls slightly right. Straight as an arrow before, now I'm concerned.

Did they give you an alignment after install? That may fix it right up. Oh and score for getting them replaced for free!
