Ball Joint recall?

I have been getting a noise on my 04 4runner when I make a turn. It sounds like a brake squeal but lower pitch, like when a semi brakes if that helps. So I called Toyota to check it out and they informed me that there is a recall on the lower ball joint. So maybe this might be it. I should know in a little bit when I go in there.

yeah let us know what they say. The link you posted only speaks for 2001, 2002 4runners.. that would 3rd gen's setup..

Yeah, that talks about the 3rd gen 4Runner and 1st Gen Tacoma suspension set-ups. (the current gen Tacoma did not appear until about '05)
