Ball Joints

Looks like I'll be replacing all the ball joints sooner than I thought. The left lower that I had to replace in a parking lot at midnight with a O'Reilly one has started making noise and the steering feels a little off. All the others are original with 374,000 miles, the Oreilly one might have 20k miles. I had planned to do them all when it warmed up some but no luck. Are the part numbers in the following thread the same for 4wd and 2wd? Mine is a 2wd.

They're all the same between 2wd and 4wd. Stick with OEM for the lowers! You can get something other than OEM for the uppers, or at least that's my opinion. I ordered lowers from Toyota Parts Deal, and the uppers from Low Range Offroad. I also order the inner and outer tie rods from Low Range.

I knew the non-OEM wasn't going to last (although I thought I would get a few more miles out of it). It was one of those had to replace it in a parking lot and be have it moved by morning after it failed rather spectacularly.

Might as well go oem on uppers. They are $35.

OEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toyota makes great suspension components, that last 10 years. (excluding lifts etc)

same price as aftermarket.
