I posted this in the Maintenance Section, then realized that I should post in a regional forum:
Anyone know of a good one in the Baltimore Area? I'm tired of taking my 4Runner to the "Stealership", b/c half of the time I feel like I'm getting ripped off...I normally take my 4Runner to Brown's Toyota in Glen Burnie, but I'm done with that place...I feel like every time I go there, I end up paying $200 to $300 more than what I expected on things that I don't feel like I really need done...
Today I dropped my truck off for the 45k mile maintenance for around $200, and I get a call an hour or so later saying that they are suggesting a Fuel Induction Service($150), b/c it's getting gummy around my throttle? And they want to replace my Cabin Air Filter($50), when I remember having that replaced about 6 to 9 months ago?
I'm having the Fuel Induction Service done, along with the 45k mile checkup, but not the Cabin Air Filter, b/c that's something I can do myself... How often has everyone else been replacing their cabin air filter?
