Unfortunately, there are no other mounting locations in the Toyotas. If you do drill, and ever want to go back, opening up the hole and using these little plastic hole plugs works really well. You can find them in a ton of colors and sizes and they pretty much disappear in textured automotive plastic.

Include those plugs in the hardware kit and you may get the apprehensive buyer. Also post pics of what they look like in place.

Yes, it's screwed into the console with small standoffs to allow room for molle straps or clip holsters. It's .12" steel that's primed and powder coated.

Any way to make a version for us Southpaws? Maybe one that secured the the lower dash panel?

Might be better off using the cup holder in the door....I did that for years with my Tacoma.

Any thoughts of adding a possible foot to the passenger unit to support additional weight? I can see this being a great way to mount an iPad if the bracket can hold the weight without bouncing around. Seems like the Ram Mount and Arm would be easy enough to attach to this.

They will be .120" steel that is primed and powder coated. They have 4 mounting locations and will support a CB no problem. You shouldn't have an issue with an Ipad Ram Mount would just depend on how high it is mounted/how much leverage you put on it.

They look symmetrical so not sure if they are side specific.

Sounds good. One last question. Any thoughts on adding support behind the center console? I’m picturing the weight of a CB or iPad with arm pulling on that plate which is pulling at four screws over time. Maybe an upgrade to bolts with nuts behind the console? It would be more work for users but definitely a lot stronger.

I don't think the seat is all the way forward in the photo, but the panel could be mounted further forward on the console. I'll have more photos and an install video very soon.
