Maybe I have thick legs, but when I drive, I feel like my leg takes up that whole area.

Seems like a .45 banana might weigh too much and when off road might be too heavy for it to prevent bouncing around in the mount and damage something? Even a Commander size banana would be pretty weighty for it.

My guess is a .45 cal 1911... maybe

Agreed, I was guessing buy the profile of the holster, not speaking to the practicality of carrying around such a banana in that particular way.

Installed mine recently. I did both sides so they match. I will say that the product craftsmanship is great.

There really is no comfortable usable space on the drivers side and it really feels like the holder is in the way when attached. Maybe something smaller would be fine but this is for a G20. I will probably only clip it on the passenger side so I don't feel so cramped.

It would be fine to use the driver side lower part(and closer to the seat out of leg way) area to clip a leatherman etc, or thin accessories.

In your pic, it seems like the holster is nice and snug, leaving the banana grip easily accessible. Any recommendations?

It appears to have about the same clip portion as the holster we prototyped with. The only thing I can think of is maybe where you positioned the panel, the clip hits the console before it can lock in all the way. You could try spacing the front of the panel out a little farther.

Couple questions.
- For the 5th gen install on the screw without a standoff on the top. What is behind that plastic? anyone have an idea? I'd rather not take everything apart to find out and i'd rather not short something out.
- I've managed to lose the hardware that came with it. Doh! It looks like about a 15mm to 20mm standoff. Can someone measure them and the screw length for me please?

this is a cool product for those of us that carry. I appendix carry and depending on the rig and gun I am carrying I sometimes take off the holster when I get in the truck.


The only thing I dislike about this product....screwing into the plastic and making permanent holes. Is there a way to make this work without permanent holes in the interior plastic?

Maybe some brackets that go under and behind the plastic panels?
