Bandit Runner's Build Thread

So I went to the JeepFest at the fairgrounds today. Saw some nice Jeeps, but they made my 35” tires look really small. They had an offroad obstacle course set up, so I decided to give it a try. Some of the obstacles were pretty intense, but I did them all except the last one, which was too insane for most folks. My 4Runer really stood out in a sea of Jeeps, and I got a lot of compliments from everyone.

I also took the opportunity to repaint my grille:

Looking awesome! Those projectors are going to be so sweet. Have I missed it, or will that be the first custom dual projector build on a 3rd gen?

Well, Its the first one I'm aware of. I can't believe these have taken about 2 years to complete. It was soooooo much more work than I ever imagined!

Wow. I knew it had been a long time since you started, but yeah....2 years...

Well regardless, i'm looking forward to seeing them done. :thumb3:

Wife wasn't home, so I did a little baking:

Buttoned up everything on the back side: Wire plugs, Igniters, and Goretex vents.

If all goes well, these should be installed this weekend.

Huge amount of kudos on the headlights. Crazy that they took 2 years but I'm sure their output will be well worth the time and effort you've put into them. I'm stoked to see them installed and some outlet pictures.

Sooo where do we place our orders?

No way, man. I'm sick of working on headlights for a while.

Thanks, I'll definitely be posting output shots after I get them aligned.

Amazing work with these lights! Whats the plan for your current retrofits....? :becky:

Thanks, I'll probably be putting the old retrofits up for sale.

Dual projector headlights were installed last weekend. I really like the way they look.

Here are a few pics of when I was aiming the low beams (wall is about 25' away).

I will try to get some better output pics later. And some pics of the halos and demon eyes.

Beefy!

I got them installed, but didn't get any pics yet. The funny thing is I gained over half and inch of lift in the rear with these. They must not allow my 861 springs to compress as much as my well used Bilsteins.

876 posts later and I’m finally caught up! Killer build! Very envious of your CAD skills and access to be able to design and create your own parts. Attention to detail is obvious in everything you do. Thanks for taking the time to share how you have done all these projects. I would imagine it adds a lot of time to what you do but it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thank you!

Thank you very much for the extremely kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed it!

How? I just talked to them 2 months ago and they couldn't even give me a date on when the 3rd Gen rears would be ready. Do you have a test set or a production set? What's the compressed and extended numbers? You gotta be stoked with them.

I "settled" for Kings. I'm still stoked but I might have held out a bit had I known ADS was close. lol
