Bandit Runner's Build Thread

I'm sad to see this go, but I also completely understand. Good luck with your sale, and I am excited to see what comes next. Too bad we can't just get you a rust free rig from socal or arizona and you could swap everything over. Good luck with your sale.

Thanks. I'm definitely sad to see it go also. Hoping to find a good home for it.

What comes next is a brand new 5th gen. Will be ordering it from the factory at the end of this month. Already have lots of mod ideas for it, but the first thing will be rust prevention!

im a fellow michigander with a black 3rd gen. Ive been able to keep the rust away with Woolwax. however I have an extra frame from tennessee and now another 3rd gen (97) to drive in the winter. If you cant find any takers on your truck id be interested in buying it but not for 9 grand. If youre interested in parting it out I would also be interested in buying parts off of it and I have a bunch of 3rd gen buddies up here in michigan who would be interested in parts as well. Good luck! This was always my favorite 3rd gen build thread and im sad we never got to meet up at silver lake sand dunes. I live in downtown Grand Rapids. The hard part is in Michigan toyotas are just starting to catch on and people highly undervalue them. I just bought my completely stock ( nothing as cool as yours ) 97 for a grand with 120k miles. My 2000 is heavily modified and I plan on going longtravel this year.

Oh wow, weird. I've seen pictures of your 4runner online occasionally and saw this thread before but never poked my head in here. Sad to see it go but it's understandable I suppose. I originally saw your vehicle on google when looking for ideas on adding limb raisers.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Do you think $9,000 is a good start for an asking price? Looking for some advice here.

with the rust issues and other stuff you described in your add i think it was a fair place to start.
i knew it would go quick.
looking forward to seeing the next version.:guitar2:

Thanks, I feel it was a fair price also. I can't wait to start the mods on my new 4Runner. It can't get here soon enough!

Drop a link to your 5th gen build whenever you start it. Although it may never be as goated as the ole 3rd gens lol

Will do. 5th gens can be pretty cool too. The problem is that most 5th gen builds all end up looking very similar. Same bumpers, roof racks, etc.

I already have several ideas on how to make mine more unique. I can't wait to get started.

Awesome. Absolutely they can rock and you never fail to disappoint with the builds!
