leather seats and sunroof sounds like a limited, does it have a wood grain trim?

my truck is a sr5 and it has a sunroof and cloth seats.

no to the wood grain and no climate control, but isnt the climate control on the stock deck? cause i got a new deck

SR5 = Sport Rally 5, meaning it's a 5 speed. Limited's don't come in manual transmission (im pretty sure, my limited is auto)

its an SR5 with extra options. Back in the day when 3rd gens were brand new, you could litterally buy an SR5 and upgrade it into a limited. My 4runner has the limited fender flares (the nice painted to match ones) and it has the limited running boards. Apparently you can do the same thing with the 4th gens but theres a couple options you can only get in the limited.

In 1999 if it had a multi-mode 4WD system it was a limited, if it has the factory Power Tilt and Slide Sunroof it couldnt be a base model. More info

Pre '00 SR5s didn't have the widebody flares/running boards available but the big diff in the Limiteds was the multi mode tranny available in '99-'00 but in '01+ the SR5s could be had with that tranny. And the Limiteds had the digital climate control but not something I was ever enamored with.

This is pretty far from the truth just so you know. SR5 has nothing to do with the transmission.

Also, the larger painted flares available on the SR5s are not the same as the Limited ones. The Limited flares are attatched to the cladding that runs all down the side of the vehicle. I know that you likely know this Ron, just pointing it out for others to see.

Most likely an SR5 with added options like stated above. Does anyone remember the SR5 Limiteds? I have seen two, but dont know much about them.

It means you either have a sport edition with some upgrades (leather seats) or someone in the past has added it. Are you mirrors and bumpers and grille painted to match the exterior of the car? Also, are your flares painted black as well or are they just black plastic?

Yeah the all of those were all the same color as the exterior, and the flares are a greyish/black plastic...

Yes, for 99 it would mean you have a highlander edition and the scoop was available only with options SP or SX.

so, i for sure have a highlander edition?
anything else that i would be able to look at the confirm this...
