I have a V8 LTD with XREAS. If I want to use Bilstein 5100s what needs to be done? Are the 5100s a direct bolt-on for the front? Can they be used in the rear? Do I need to buy new springs for the rear?

Using the Bilsteins would mean tearing out your XREAS - you sure you wanna do that? If I were you Id leave the XREAS in tact and just go with a spacer lift.

You wouldn't neccessarily have to rip it out. You just have to disable it. Several members on here have done it. You can re-install it later if you wish. But be careful not to damage it because it can not be service, only replace the whole thing $$$. I have it too, coming from cars with stiff after market suspensions, the XREAS, is not bad. So i am sticking with mine until they go out or something wrong with them, which could take a while, and do a little spacer lift just to fit some nice tires.
