How about this for a volt meter? Can have your 2 usb charging ports plus a voltmeter in one..

That’s what I use to use in the 4Runner. Now that the ScanGauge is in it reports system voltage at the OBD port which is directly off the battery. The cig lighter is switched with the ignition and sometimes it .2 or more bolts lower than post voltage unless you rewire it strait to the battery.

When your say add a charger, are you talking about like a mod to the truck?

I was thinking of adding a voltometer since I read that agm's are sensitive to overcharge, so I felt it may be good to monitor it

I meant adding a plug in the wall charger to top off the battery on weekends, etc. My Odyssey PC1500 size 34R takes about 3 hours to fully recharge after a week of around-town driving, using a CTEK Multi US 25000 charger.
There are cheap/OK voltmeters, also a Scangauge has a voltmeter function.

Actually I was going to ask what kind of charger you guys recommend is, I see the genius and Ctek but they also have a tremendous amount of really scary reviews!

Also, I found out after calling the manufacturer that the battery's posts are actually made of brass and not lead. So I've ordered a set of brass connectors and we'll install those when they come in.

I'm also deciding on getting that 3 gauge pillar thing, does anyone have one of those? Also, has anyone used vdo gauges?

For the battery charger it kinda all depends on what you want out of it. If you just want a good enough charge to start the car most will be just fine. I love the optima chargers as they actully have 4 stages of charging and will raise the voltage high enough for a good charge.

If you just want somethig cheap to get the car started any high review battery should be fine. The car will properly charge it once its running.

Honestly I'm just nervous as just about every one of them I've read about, I see a massive slew of bad reviews and photographs of burned and exploded chargers... I didn't think a battery charger was a hard thing to build these days...

I have a Schumacher speed charger 2-8-12a that has settings for flooded and agm/gell, I’ve had it for all but 15 years now and other than it’s cooling fan squealing when it’s below freezing it works great.

For my Cummins I have a 8a deltran that’s as old as the Speed Charger. It’s doing great as well. The deltran is waterproof. I was going to mount it in the engine bay but never did.

I also have a few Schumacher 2a tenders for motorcycles.
