I can't imagine they could do much to prevent it. Anything the tack on around it will probably rattle and any tag they put on it can be taken off. It sucks that we live in a world with scumbags would would do this. For some people a $2000 repair could be more than the vehicle is worth.

I also noticed its just for concord residents only. I agree, its sad ppl waste time stealing things other people worked hard for when they should be working hard themselves

You have a point. I always hated them for the front end because they make a simple task like an oil change take another 30 minutes. But for the belly, there you go.

I don't know about other places but here in Arkansas copper sales sky rocketed. They took it as a sign and now any scrap copper your go to turn in you have to have receipts to show original purchase. I think they should start stamping all cats with serials and have a nation wide law stating you have to provide a receipt or papers matching the serial on the cat to sell it. Even with new vehicles, paperwork on the cat can be issued with the manuals and other vehicle information. I don't see why it couldn't happen. Just remember, getting it stolen and doing not but whining about it is helping nothing, get out there and write your state attorney's office about issues such as this.

That wouldn't work in California, because the scrap yard doesn't care where people get it from. They make money no matter what, why would they turn down money that could be made. Get it?
