Beach Baby, Beach!

koda,

If you read my post you would have known that I was miles from any other people. Doing donuts in the sand on a deserted beach is far from doing it in traffic (not that I haven't done donuts on pavement, not in traffic). Thanks for telling me what I shouldn't be doing (you sound like a cop).

Koz

you're welcome!

I'm far from a cop and I wasn't trying to lecture but there are fights going on on the outer banks as to whether or not driving will continue to be allowed. Donuts on the beach doesn't help our side.

Sorry to hear about the fight to ride on the beach, first I've heard of this.

Great Pics looks like it was a fun trip. Minus the park ranger.. Last time I got pulled over I was on the beach driving in the dunes.. I never was in the beach grass... just enjoying the sandy hills.. I saw the cops comming up behind me and knew there was a ticket in my future so I took the truck over a sand coverd downed tree, just to see if the cop would do it in his cherokee....LOL... He drove around it and fliped the lights on. He said " you know your not sppose to be in the dunes" i said "hey follow my tracks back i didn't touch a blade of grass" ended up he was new to the area and just gave me a warning..LOL...

I live right by the beach in WA, I see everyone airing down on their beach threads.. Why? I have driven the beach for 15 years daily and never aired down once.. Never been stuck in anything with 4 wheel drive on the beach. If you start to feel like it's getting soft just keep the wheels straight and give her some gas.. Just not so much gas that you spin the tires..LOL.. Worst comes to worst put it in 4 low..

Airing down greatly improves traction and will allow the 4Runner to use very little effort to cruise the beaches.:driving:

That sucksssssssssssss, where were you driving on the beach? In the Pacific NW, it's hard to find beaches with motor access =(.
