1997 4runner 4x4 5spd 186,000 miles. I've gotten awesome ideas off forum. Landruiser coil/ eibach lift going on this Tuesday as well as tactical armor front wincher and rear bumper with tire carrier on order. Really excited to see where I go with this project.

Hello and welcome! Looks like you've got a nice rig to start your project with. You've come to a good place for info for your Runner. Those TAG bumpers are pretty sweet--just be prepared to get the run-around with them, and possibly have looong delays on your shipments--they have a bad rep for customer service. I've been wanting to get one of their rear carriers as well, but after reading many negative comments, I'm hoping to come up with something else. Hopefully you will have a better experience, and I'm sure you'll enjoy them once you get them. Have fun out there!

Thanks bucknutbob for the welcome, glad I found this forum. Well I'm still waiting for the tag bumpers. I called Kyle Wednesday and he said they are in production. I only live 10 minutes from his shop. Cool thing is he's gonna install them no additional charge. I think from what I'm seeing are problems with customers ordering to be shipped. I like knowing I can just show up and check the progress if I like. I'm not rushing him cause I don't want a rush job. Good news is the lift is installed, bad news is now of course I want the bigger tires and of course the roof basket with lights, sliders, snorkel, and l could keep going but it makes me nauseous thinking of the money I'm gonna have sunk in this runner! Geez what did I get myself into? Lol

Hey 4Real, no one here said the modding bug is cheap! LOL! Yeah, when you start thinking of all the fun things you can put on these beasts, it can get intimidating. You may never get the money back out of it down the road, but at least you're dealing with a vehicle that DOES hold a lot of value, and should last you a long time, giving you a lot of great memories. It sorta' balances out...from an enthusiast's viewpoint, that is. Have fun!
