Before and after pics...

Does anyone have before and after pics of a lift using the 99 tall springs? I have a 98 SR5 and know I'm going to get about an inch of lift, i just want to be able to visualize it. If you have pics of the 2" OME lift, I'd like to see those too. Thanks.

Thanks. Were you happy with the 99 springs setup? I'm not going to do much off-roading...there isn't much here in Indiana...but I will be towing occasionally, and I want a more aggressive look than stock. Still can't decide between this and the OME 2incher.

one inch of lift will be difficult to notice without a tape measure. get a full 2.5" lift, you will be happier.

I did the '99 spring swap, and just upgraded the rear to OME 906, and it's much better IMO. I'd start with just 906's in the rear, and see how you like it. I only gained about 1/2-3/4" with the '99 talls anyways.

check the first couple of pages in my build thread (sig) for before and after pics. I would say 99 fronts with OME rears would be your best bet if you plan to haul any weight. The 99 talls were a great step for me, but they still sagged pretty bad in the back with even 100#s worth tools/gear.

I'm very happy w/the '99 springs. I ended up getting a little more than an inch out of the '99 tall coils alone, but I was replacing a suspension that had 180k on it.

The rears definitely sag under a load, but I anticipated that, so I put a 1.5" spacer on top of the rear springs. It sits pretty level now with the loads that I carry (200-300 lbs on average).

I bet the 906's in the rear would perform nearly identical to what I'm running.

The springrate is noticeably higher (less rear suspension motion over the same roads, less bodyroll), but otherwise they would give very similar results.

My wife's 2000 is getting to the point where the suspension needs some love. After riding in my '97, she wants to go for the '99 springs/spacer & Bilstiens too. Maybe I can talk her into doing the 99's up front w/the 906's in the back.

3 4Runners, 3 different suspensions... sounds like a good time to me.

The other option could possibly maybe be .....

"Stick Figure Fab" springs.

While I was at SEMA I was talking with a manufacturer that does springs, and will do a smaller production run for me. I was thinking of possibly doing a run of springs similar to what Performance Products offered in previous years. Something around the 99 tall height, but with a bit more spring rate for the rear. Seems like it is still an area that is lacking currently in the aftermarket line up.

What do you all think? Assuming price is reasonable, would this be worth doing?
