Being from Acworth, I took notice with the national story of the "Barbie Bandits". Some good looking chicks robbed a bank in a local grocery store. I think they made national news because of the photo. They had good clothes and were extremely good looking. Well, they have now been caught and it is obivious to me they spent a bit of time putting on make up to look that way. I won't call them ugly, but not exactly beautiful. To tell you the truth I was a little dissapointed with thier mug shots.

It seems that the teller colluded with these two girls in the robbery. When I saw their mugshots on CNN, I thought they caught the wrong girls! They look so much better in black and white! Just curious, did that happen in your neighborhood?

Just curious, did that happen in your neighborhood?

Acworth is not that big of a town. The robbery happened outside the city limits on a side road in a Kroger (grocery store) that is by a big sub-division called Brookstone, about 4 miles from my house.

The run away bride was not from Acworth. She was from another part of the Atlanta area. We do seem to have our fare share of goofy, nutty people though.

The barbie bandits were in the news today, the judge lowered their bond, in part because they gave some of the money away to charity. They will probably get off with community service and become famous.

There was that day trader dude that went on the killing spree too and off'd himself at a gas station in Acworth, right off 92. I used to live right around the corner from there on Baker rd. Ah good times....

Sorry to bring up a old thread, but the Barbie Bandits were sentenced yesterday. Ashley Nicole Miller, the girl in the first picture on the left, was sentenced to 2 years. Heather Lyn Johnston, who was the first to tell police about the heist, was sentenced to 10 years probation. Which proves that it pays be the snitch and the better looking bandit.
