Normally i dont like those 4th gen wheels but that wheel and tire combination looks awesome on your white runner. It looks a lot better in a picture then in my imagination.
Yea i didn't really like the wheels either until i saw mine on craigslist and they looked really good gunmetal. The whip is good for about a mile or so. I have no idea where to get one my buddy found it and gave it to me. Its a 8 footer half fiberglass and half metal at the top. Works great going back grown in trails. The all fiberglass ones break really easy.
went the the beach last week. First time driving on the beach. Was pretty awesome, we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. Its a little cramped with 7 people in my truck thou... this was at Assateague Island Virginia
well I've come to the realization that I have no where close to enough money to get good bumpers in the near future, but I still want my runner to look nice. So I ordered some clear turn signals and new a new valance (the valance is on its way). Also decided my roof basket + 35's = crap gas millage so I lost the basket and mounted the lights on the bumper. Also my front fender flare fell of and got run over by a tractor trailer so I'm in the process of locating a replacement.
also mounted a 35 underneath. Don't think it would be possible to put anything bigger under there. I had to bend out the rear bumper a little
Also my 4 channel amp decided to crap out so I had to get a new one and decided I wanted some more room in the back.
so replacement fender flare and body lift are in the near future. Probably rock sliders later down the road.
Also I was throwing around the idea of mounting a winch somehow behind the stock bumper. Anyone ever attempt this?
Yea that is why the bumper is bent out because I had to pull the tire back so it would go up the whole way.
I'm going to hold onto the roof basket for when I need to use it and when I'm not driving 50 miles a day. With the basket and lights I was averaging 12-15 mpgs, without the basket I'm averaging 15-18 mpgs. I was very impressed.
this happened the other night on the highway... pretty scary luckily the rim isn't damaged and neither is any suspension components. Only thing is my abs light is on now. I'll have to do some investigating.
pretty much. I'm not even sure how it happened. I was doing some light off roading and i got on the highway felt it pulling to the right didn't really think anything of it thought I might have knocked something out of alignment then BOOM had to make an emergency stop. good thing I had a matching spare
that was one of the tires I bought used. and the strange part about it is the passengers side didn't rub near as bad as the drivers side and that was the passengers side. I'm debating whether I want to go back down to 285's or replace the blown tire and get a 2" body lift
I just drilled the holes and bolted them on. The hellas I have come with the mounting hardware along with the wiring hardware. The stock bumper is fairly easy to drill through.
