Best $1500 susp. setup?

Hey guys, after WAY too long ( over 2 yrs) ive decided to finally lift my truck and get some tires; 285's i hope. Here in FL we've got alot of sand and some mud too, so thats mostly what ill be dealing with.
My truck is an 05 v8 se 4x4; and iive done a fair bit of offroading locally and she's gotten stuck only once :). :bigok:
But i definately want to lift it 3-4" and get some fresh rubber, but for now im only concerned with the suspension parts.
I was thinking of going with the standard 3" OME suspp. lift and then possibly a 1" Roger Brown bodylift. Could I get some opinions on that plz? Im guessing, that with this setup AND some trimmage of the fendar then clearing 33's shouldnt be too much of an issue.
These two parts bring the grand total up to less than 1k, not including labor. So i was thinking, would it not also be nice to get a new set of UCA's? I believe that these will also improve clearance, amongst other things? However, Im not sure that there are a set of $500 UCA"s out there, so im just wanting to see what yall think.
Im open to suggestions and opinions! Thanks

Ray

btw- I wish my truck could look like bala de platas for that price! scheisse! :artist:

that seems to be the general concensus! I guess as far as bang for the buck, OME splits the uprights. DR was my first choice and Im sure that they are worth every penny, but right now I dont have that many pennies :)
Thanks for your 0.02$ fourwd1!

Was down in Ponce sat for the bike show at Down the Hatch.

If you want to check out my rig let me know we can hook up. I run the Revtec 3in + OEM springs in the back. A few other silly mods.

Intsall was easy - did it in the driveway.

1500 could go a long way if you do the work yourself.

Good luck.

I agree. OME defenatley seems to be the best bang for the buck.
I got mine shipped for under $670 bucks from www.rocky-road.com.

Rocky-road.com did try and recomend that i use the 884 coils for the front if I didn't have an aftermarket bumber but per what I have heard and read it seems most people with V-8's are going with the 885 coils in front now. It also seems that this is what sleeoffroad is telling people to use the 885's for the v-8's as well.

I ended up ordering this combo for my 06 V-8 4runner.
2 x OME885 Front Coil Springs
2 x N140S Front Struts
2 X N141 Shocks
2 X OME895 rear coil Springs

I have the same OME setup as Mr. L above from Slee. They will prebuild the front coilovers if you want which makes for a very simple install.

I also am running the revtek setup, I was thinking of putting the OME coils all the way around.. is that normal?

Right on! I live right on peninsula, near Inlet harbor! I think that i've actuallhy seen you on the road once, on mason ave heading east; i was turning west from us1 to mason. You have some yellow fogs on your bumper right? your truck looks great! where do u go wheeling around here? ive got a few spots but want more and NEED MODS! I'd like to do the install myself but i have neither the know how or the tools. I have a couple of mechanic(ally inclined) friends who could help(i.e.- do) though.
Thanks for the input guys! Im days away from my order! Im thinking OME all the way around, 1" RB bodylift, and TC UCA's.. to start this thing

:bigok: yaR :bigok:

WELL I JUST FINISHED PLACING me order :D :bigok:

I went with OME from Ben @ Slee OffRoad. Great guy to deal with, and as you've heard many times before I too would recommend them..
I went with the standard setup:
2xOME885 frnt coils

2xOME895 rr coils
2xN141 rr struts

And I also got the 1" Body lift from Roger Brown at 4crawler.com
Who as of this point (10 minutes after my ordering) I have communicated with twice concerning the details of my order. SO again great businessmenship on his behalf aswell!
details:

Kit D 1"
+ heavy duty HW

UPDATE!

Sorry for the delays fellars, but yes ITS ALL ON! And I can say that I honestly have 0 regrets and that the truck should have come like this stock! or atleast let the option exist :-)

Wilsons 4x4 did the work, $1000 and about 30hrs later she was ready. They were really bitchin about the body lift, telling me it was gonna take 6 fcking hours and i was just like yaya... they were trying to convince me to go larger, but they are cheap guys, I mean JEEP guys, so they DO know alot about jeeps, but I have definatly done my Homework on this.

The ride is awesome, better than stock imho. Before it was moms mall wagon, now it looks like a mans truck and I am even more stoked to get behind the wheel now!

Pics to come soon!
