Best $6000 ever spent!

Halloo,
newbie here. Just want to salut all the 4runner aficionados out there, and announce that I picked up an excellently maintained, second owner '97 SR5 4x4 with 211,xxx miles. It drives almost like new. I stuffed in a Sonoran Steel 2.1 lift (best out there), ProComp wheels, and BFG AT tires. It's not equipped with the factory rear locker, but so far it's gone wherever I've pointed its headlights here in the seemingly endless S. AZ outback. The tires rub against the stock bumpers, of course. Maybe somebody knows what the best high-clearance bumper options are?
Best wishes,
J.S.

welcome to the T4R world! i have 2 runners. a 96' sr5 and a 03 sport v8... best vehicles ever made (IMO)

what side of town are you on?

Welcome aboard. I just picked up my 97 this past Sat. and absolutely love it. Of course now my wife wants one too. That is definitely a good looking 4runner you have. And to top it off, you live in and near some seriously great 4 wheeling areas.

I bet the v8 is a lot of fun!
I'm central, but spend a lot of time on the east side. These pics are near Piety Hill up on Reddington Pass Rd.
Before I put in the lift, I took the 4runner over Gunsight Pass, and it made it no problem. Ever been there?

unfortunantly.. no

I hope you get to hit some trails soon... maybe when the weather cools back down in fall. I bet your kids enjoy that very much!
