Best Brand Wiper Blades

I am on my third set of front wiper blades for my 98, and I have yet to find a brand that fits real great. I am not sure what the first set was, the second pair were Bosch, which were the best although not perfect, and I can't remember what the current pair is, some brand I hadn't heard of and I am not too impressed. Every brand so far leaves a big strip of windshield untouched right in my line of sight.

I did a bit of searching and haven't found anything specific to 3rd gen wiper blades.

What brands do you all recommend for severe/winter weather that fit (the curve of the windshield) really well?

I've tried them all and bosch holds up the longest. Rainex work better in rain but in snow and ice they fall apart.
 
I fully agree, Bosch is the Best. I've had a pair on for over 5 years and 100,000 miles in Texas sun, yes they are finally getting to the end of their life but Wow what a run. Not cheap, not even at walmart Icons are about $17 each. Worth it though. Luck and enjoy. :cowboy:
 
Bosch Icons are my #1 choice.

I have used a few including Rainex blades. The Bosch Icon work very well for me and are simple to install. Also, I got mine fore about $15 on Amazon vs. about $24 at the auto parts stores.

p.s. Just for the sake of information, they are the 17" A model.

Bosch Icon is my favorite brand for wiper blades. I have a year and a half on my current pair and they work perfectly. I just picked up a pair for my girlfriend's Camry too
 
I've tried the Bosch, Rain-x and tricos and I found they all sucked. I Put some new OEM's on both trucks. Best blades I've ever used.
 
I'm gonna toss some denso ones in my next order on rockauto, they were 3$ each last I checked

NWB: this is the factory wiper blades. Can buy on ebay for $15 a piece with free shipping.
You can find NWB embossed on the wiper blade frame if you still have the factory rear wiper blade.
 
I've had better luck with OEM too. A small list of what I've used:

1. OEM: seemed to last longer then the bosch I had
2. Bosch icons: worked well
3. RainX: worked well but wore out fast.
 
OEMs are solid.........but, in the GWN, with ice and snow, they freeze like a m*f* to your windshield; you can easily end up tearing the rubber. I guess the practicality of choice is also regional.

When the time comes I'm going back to OEM wipers. It's frustrating wasting good money on complete Bosch,RainX,etc wipers when all you need to replace are the inserts, which are readily available (and cheaper) at dealerships.

Also do a thorough cleaning of your windshield. Clean the glass with your preferred glass cleaner first, then use water spot remover ( Mothers® California Gold® Water Spot Remover for Glass ) then another round of glass cleaner (I like Invisible Glass). Water will shed off your windshield like it was treated with RainX
