I've been debating picking up one or two of the Accessory Panel Units from Wits' End. They would fit nicely on the inside back wall of the centre console and keep all the small things from rolling around inside.

That's pretty damn slick. Way better than the instrument cluster used by others.

OK, you did include "dash" accessories.
It may be too obvious to be included here, but I can't do with out my 7" Garmin Nuvi 2757 on the sandbag mount. No, 7" is not too big for the dash. It's just the perfect size to see a lot of details and yet still see a lot of map area at the same time.
Yes, I have in-dash NAV, but I can "rely" on the Nuvi. It easily moves between vehicles. I can and do download my logs on all trips so I can go back years later and see exactly where we went and when. It's accurate and has all the off road trails that I've ever traveled on it. It gets a free map and POI update every quarter. What's not to like?
Before the Garmin, I used a 14" laptop on a RAM mount (in my 2003) with Delorme, etc. The 7" NUVI was large enough to be a perfect replacement. Best $$ I ever spent.
+1 on the Scangauge. Mine is mounted on the steering wheel column.

The only thing I've found it practical for is a dip can, but I've been meaning to put some kind of lip on that opening and the one below it so that stuff doesn't slide out when going uphill. I'm thinking a strip of seal tape or a thin rubber ring gasket cut to become a strip would be perfect as a little barrier. Might do that this weekend.
