Plus I left out a very important benefit of the Garmin. It gives me an accurate speed since my non-stock tires throw off the speedo.

Not sure if my stuff fits under the catagory, but here goes:
My 4runner did not have the factory inverter option, so I installed one myself using the blank space in the console and mounting this button in one of the blanks, I know it looks a bit getto but it is the best I could come up with. tip: look for an inverter that does not use a fan, I found this trip light that is nice and quiet and seems to be well made. it is mounted under the drivers seat and I used think phone wire to wire up the switch. I did this in 2012 and it has not given me trouble ever.
this past summer I installed a dashcam
Power comes from the glovebox (switched)
I was able to deactivate the dashcam's display and direct it to my alpine head units display. (Aux video)
Another mod that really cannot be seen is the Maestro steering wheel control adapter that allows me to use the steering wheel controls on the alpine. works like a charm.
just installed this summer and working good for 5 months so far.
And finally the seat heaters:
nothing to see here other than the switches:
they were installed february 2013, late this past winter (2015) the driver's seat
I will be doing the leather steering wheel upgrade in December and anything else I can think of at that time.
I would like to suggest 2 mods maybe another forum member could take up,
1. Glovebox light, preferably that comes on automatically when you open it.
2. Along the same lines, that little fold up door down low in the console that flips up, it would be nice to have some sort of light down there.

6" flat USB cord to the stock USB input for now. Keeps it charged, and I run Spotify through the iPad.

I really like this one. In SR5 trip computer is POS. I read this tread (great job you did there) and I have one question that is bugging me for a while. How did you guys route the wires from overhead console to the space behind the driver side kick panel?
Once I was going to change my dummy mirror with the one that has auto-dimming and backup camera monitor but I got scared about pulling the A-pillar cover where the airbag is hidden. It would open whole bunch of ideas for me if I know how to get wires from the overhead console to the driver side panel without braking any parts.

Ah. My USB barely puts out enough voltage to charge my 6+. I with Waze on it would take about 6-7 hours to charge it from dead
Center Console Organizer-Cheap Option
This thread has inspired all kinds of searches for storage solutions. Love the console organizer shared in this thread, but too cheap to pull the trigger. Going to give this $15.00 Amazon find a go. Will report back when I receive on Tuesday. Supposedly custom fit for our console. Appears I might be able to mock up some kind of tray to sit on top. We shall see.

Wow! Nice job, you really got it to sit in there flush! How much did you cut the CB chassis- pics? Mine is about 1/2" higher...
Salex, right? Surprised there aren't more posts about them. Got one in my Tacoma. Simple, cheap, does the job.

My glovebox has a light from the factory- it's on whenever the headlights are on...
I mounted an LED in the cubby below that door in the console- very easy to do. This is the only picture I have of it. You can see the backside of the orange LED on the top side of that cubby...
