Placed my order today for a ram mount. Very excited to get that iPad thing cleaned up and stowed correctly. :rockon:

Nice. Make sure you also put in some sort of backing plate. I used Aluminum.

I saw this photo of your ram mount some time ago. Was inspired, but thought I should heavy up to the "D" size. Didn't look carefully at the dimensions of the arm and was surprised at girth and hefty weight when it arrived. I'll post a pic when it's installed. I swear it will be SFW.

That is where I mounted my face-plate for my Ham radio. Interior... hmm, tough one, but I do really like my stereo upgrade!

As requested. I have the brain with speaker mounted up under the steering wheel and coax out to the back antenna.

I wound up getting the Salex organizer as well off Amazon. Very pleased with it.
I was going to order the Trek1400 organizer also seen in this thread, but at $60, I didn't wanna spend that much in the console area. Also, I think that Trek covers the 12V port, and the Salex does not, and its only $21 w/s&h.

Just returned the salex. It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the console so if you wanted to put anything that's not 4 inches long it just slides around and gets lost on the bottom. Why they couldn't make it 1 inch longer is beyond me. Oh well.

Mine isn't tight to the bottom, but it's pretty close. I don't think you installed yours correctly if you have a 4" gap

Did you remove the factory dividers in the console? They must be removed for the Salex Organizer to fit properly.

You have to take out the factory black divider piece for it to go all the way to the bottom. I just got mine a week or two ago and thought the same thing. Then I realized that piece can and needs to be removed.

Got the Salex myself for $9 on AW, looks like someone return one thinking it didn't fit. =)

I agree. The Salex organizer was one of the best mods I've done so far to the truck. It helps keep the console from becoming a jumbled mess and it fit perfectly. I wish they had one for the glovebox too.

ETA: after looking at the current inner dimensions, looks like the dremel is going to be put to use.
