Best Engine Swap

Hey everyone whats the best engine swap for a 94 3.slow auto. I've been thinking I need to change my HG and dont feel like messing with the heads and finding they are warped or cracked too. So I might wanna do a swap. But have no idea what size or type. I wanna get decent mpg still. Also if i do an engine swap whats the best thing to do with the trans? Thanks in advance.

all depends on how much you wanna spend and how knowledgeable you are, I am either gonna put a gm 262 and a 4l60e tranmission or a 350 with a turbo350 behind it.

Toyota 3.4 V6. From a Tacoma or 3rd gen 4runner. Been done thousands of times, is well documented and you can't beat the performance and reliability.

Like turbosr5 said, it's been done many times, so there is a lot of info available if you just look for it.

ok thanks everyone i think i might just do the HG now and then do the swap later when i get a little more cash.
