Best exterior vinyl rubber cleaner/protectant?

I was washing my 01 T4R this weekend and when I applied Meguiars #40 vinyl and rubber cleaner/conditioner on the outside rubber window trim, ALOT of black rubbed off onto the rag. A little concerned here - hoping I did not accelerate the fading of the trim on the truck.

Anyone try this product? What products do you all recommend to help minimize UV damage and keep the trim as black as possible for as long as possible? Thanks in advance...

Never used that product, but I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on my exterior plastic trim. It's suppose to provide UV protection and I've heard nothing but good things about it from this and other forums.

It is a little pricey, but I purchased it for my tires. The tires were too big of a surface area to get to look good with it so i just use it on my dark rubber and trim. It acts as a sort of a sealant as well as a "restorer"

The 303 aerospace is good stuff but it washes off easily so I only use it inside (It doesn't have the greasy shiny look of Armor all)

I use the Mother's Back to Black and have never had an issue with it. Works great on most other colors too (as most of my trim is grey).

Thanks all for responding. I found 303 at West Marine and used it this weekend. Went on well - not as streaky as others. I like the UV 40 protection, especially here in Florida black trim dries out turning yucky gray. Alot of good reviews for 303 products on Amazon.

I have never seen those two Maguires products locally - will have to order online. Neither have I seen the the Ultimate product.

In a nutshell, so many products out there. I have heard bad things about Armorall, but perhaps their formula has changed. Heard good things about One Grand products...anyone else??

I dunno if your willing to try this, but if your plastic trim is really faded I've used a heat gun on it, and it turned it back to looking new. It made a HUGE difference on my beater civic's sideskirts and side mouldings. Like it made me decide against painting them satin black.

Id only use this if they are like faded almost to gray. Just thought id share that little gem.

I have used back to black on the rubber trim with good restults however.
