Best front bumper?

I've been looking for the best front bumper for my stock 4runner. Protection on my deer infested roads and looks are most important. Leaning towards the arb. Would love to see pictures of my options.

Are the ends of the arb capped off. Another 1 I was looking at was open on the ends and you could see behind it. Didn't care for that look.

That's a nice looking bumper, but not an ARB.

I run a TJM, similar to ARB. I love it, and it has taken one hell of a beating. I don't know if you can get TJM stuff in the states anymore.

My Vote for ARB

I vote for ARB. However, my truck is a daily driver and does not see much brush no deer so I do not want a tall grille guard. Not having seen one up close, I wonder if ARB grille guard is just right. I know the one on grey truck above looks too high for my taste, would get in the way of working on engine compartment.

I prefer the more civil look of the plate bumper. What are the pros and cons of plate bumpers vs tube bumpers?

Tube = lighter
Plate = looks better and a little more protection

Always like looking at bumper designs! I want two Aluminum front bumpers, okay back too! One for my 84' runner, and my 97' landy! But in truth with too many toys, projects, and then throw in the money part! I need to have someone modify my existing bumper. Ha ha.

I want one you can use your Hi-lift jack on it to lift up your truck, and still slide over rocks and things without it hanging up. Plus, as light as possible!

The one i'm doing is not from a kit I made up a design myself and bought a 4x6 foot sheet of 1/8 steel and a smaller plate of 1/4 inch (or mounts and what not) and am starting from scratch, it will look similar to the shrockworks one posted by obkook here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/82250-everyone-plate-bumper-post-pics-here-2.html

except on mine, the piece in the middle on the front is not as wide and the angled pieces next to it take up more space along the front, will post pics when I'm all done

I didn't realize tactical armor's bumper was open like that. I'm planning on buying theirs eventually, then I'll weld a plate in place to close off the ends.

I really dig ARB's, but holy crap they are proud of it. $900 is little more than I want to pay for a front bumper.

Right now I'm running Dave'z off road bumpers. At the time, I was looking for plate style bumpers, but no one out there really was making them cept for ARB, so I ran with Dave'z cause I liked the style.

Made my own rear bumper and sliders, those aren't hard to do and can be done relatively cheap if you have a welder and have a way to do nice, clean cuts (bandsaw from Harbor Freight actually worked well for me!).

The front, I decided to just pony up and buy one. With a winch on the front, I want nothing to do with bad joints or an incorrect angle for the winchplate that will bend the frame with one wrong pull. Went with Addicted's plate bumper and have been very happy with it! Added on the extra frame plate strengthener to make sure it doesn't fold the thin steel up front.
