Best OTRE?

Like the title says, whats the best OTRE to use and where from? I gotta start pricing out parts since I screwed up my old ones when I tried to change the LBJs.

Definitely go OEM. If you want to buy online, grab them from Camelback Toyota.

Yeah, $47 per side at Camelback. There are two types. Both the same price. Are they both still OEM?

Camelback only sells real Toyota parts so you are good to go.

You probably already know this but this is a perfect time to replace the inners as well if you have any play or if they are really droopy. Just a thought.

Low Range sells 555 outer tie rods for $30. I believe 555 is the OEM for Toyota tie rods. I have the inners on my 4Runner and haven't had any issues.

I'm pretty sure the 555's are aftermarket (see the multitude of LBJ threads). One piece of advice, the OE tie-rods from Camelback do not come with new jamb nuts. Just something to consider -

So is a new jamb nut needed or is just preferred?

My NAPA premium ITREs came with jamb nuts, so if you go that route you'll be set. They seem to be great quality and have a lifetime warranty. I did spring for OEM OTREs though.

New ones aren't necessary but would have been nice in my situation. My old ones were a bit rusty and a PIA to get off the old rack.
