Best rear shocks for stock height springs

Lets hear your votes for the best shocks that will work with stock height springs!

I bought a set of Rancho RS9000. I realize they are not the hardcore offroad shocks they make them out to be, but I also figured they'd be just fine for running backroads and the light off-roading that I do.

Fast forward 14 months and less than 15000 kms and both of them are broken. Literally snapped in half!

What are my options? Are the Bilsteins everyone likes available for stock applications?

BROKEN ALL THE WAY! WOW! I say go with OEM, Tokico, bilstein is good as always, depends on your budget, monroe has never let me down for stock applications either.
 
Snapped the shafts right off!

Looking into the 5100s. Rancho is supposedly higher end monroe but I guess not (both owned by Tenneco)

That said, the monroe front struts seem to be holding up so far...
 
I have the 4600s i just took off my 2002 2wheel drive with about 15,000 pavement miles on them i'll sell for 200.00 plus shipping for all 4.

In a good way. Smooth but controlled ride. I have had 4600s and 5100s. Very similar. Can't go wrong with either. When I first changed the stock fronts out to the 4600s, the stocker were definitely harsher than the Bilsteins. Plenty of road control with the Bilsteins too.

I like the Bilsteins so much that when I bought my new F-150, I changed the shocks to 5100 Bilsteins. The truck only had 5000 miles on it.

You can buy them brand new with free shipping (and warranty) for $270. Not trying to flame you but if you do want to sell these, you might want to reconsider the price a bit. Maybe include the shipping at $200.
 
4600s ordered! Thanks for the help everyone!

Seems to me the 5100s won't fit on a stock runner without some tinkering.

I'll post pics of the broken shocks later for fun

I just bought Bilstein HDs (4600) for all 4 corners of my truck and replaced the springs with stock (moog). I felt a noticeable difference and I love it. Michigan has crazy potholes.

Also, if you're not doing it yourself like me, let the mechanic know to use the old hardware with the new Bilsteins because they don't come with one.

My only problem is that there's still some sag in the rear. Like if you push down on the back, it is really easy to push down and you can go pretty far. I think someone said to add spacers in the rear to fix it. I might do that in the future

At least it doesn't bounce like crazy anymore. lol
