Best spark plugs for Supercharged 2000 3.4L ???

I know this topic has been hashed over a thousand times, but I still can't seem to find the correct answer.

What are the best plugs to use in our Supercharged 3.4L engines?

I have a 2000 SR5 4runner with SC and no mods. I just got it last month,
so I haven't had time to mess with it yet. It has the NGK on one side and
Denso on the other, so I assume they are the original plugs (113k miles).

It seems to run OK, but my mileage has not been good (15mpg) for
normal driving.

I was thinking of putting in NGK BCPR7ET (2164) plugs and gap them at
about .040 Does this sound like a good set of plugs to use?

What do you guys use and does anyone have good luck with the NGKs I
mentioned above?

NGK hands down. :thumb3:

I ran those when i had SC on my previous vehicle ( even when it was just bolts on.).
I'm running NGK on my other vehicle and 4runner. No problem.

I've always ran NGK in all my vehicles, but this is the first SC rig I've ever had.

I was wondering if you run the NGK BCPR7ET in your 4runner, or which # of NGK plug do you run?

It has been while. But i'm pretty sure i went with laser iridium. Mine is 03 SR5 V6, mine will diff than yours.

I'm not familiar with SC and 4runner, but if you not running heavy mods etc etc, one step colder should be fine. Part number that you posted is two step colder, isn't it?

Btw BCPR7ET has new stock number, it's 5509.

Yeah, I noticed that when I just got them, the BCPR7ET box said 5509 instead of the old 2164 they used to be.

The thing is that all of these 5509 3 ground plugs came pre-gapped at
.020 out of the box. I guess I'll have to re gap them to .043 now before
I install them.

Is .043 the gap most of you use???? There seems to be so much confusion on what gap to use.
