Best Speakers for Pioneer DEH-P5000UB

Hi,

A few months ago I installed this new radio. It was a good purchase. The thing is I've heard that Pioneer speakers are not very outstanding. I was thinking of purchasing some Rockford Fosgate, but I'm not sure. My main interest is good bass sound, since the P5000UB Bass controls are excellent, but I don't want to install a subwofer since it will take lots of space I'm already using in my trunk.

Any recomendations

I believe the 3rd gen's can fit 6.5" in the front doors. As far as a speaker suggestion, you're better off going to the stores and listening since everyone's ear is different. I will say if you don't care for clarity or detail as much and want more mids, don't consider Infinity, which is a popular choice on this board. Very musical, bright and efficient speakers but, in my opinion, not a lot of mids.

Go listen to some Boston's or Polk, they seem to have some cheap/reasonably priced speakers that put more focus on mids.
