Best speculation of a 2023 6th generation I have seen

I few observations - interior shot shows low beltline for windows. Big win IMO. And the wiper is still protected under the spoiler. Also a win. I hate the low wiper setup that collects dirt/rocks/etc on top and then scratches the window. Roll down window also a win to keep moving forward. Overall it looks a lot like the current 4R to me. And that's a good thing. I like the 5th gen. Looks like the 6th won't stray far from the path.

I also think Toyota may have just torpedoed the LC250 hype. I can see a lot of early buyers re-thinking the LC250 if the 4Runner is the same thing for a lot less $. And if the 4Runner is coming soon in TRD Pro and Trail hunter trims that are significantly more capable than the LC250 - it's going to make the LC a pretty challenging value proposition. Dropping the 4R right before the first sales are made on the LC250 is a surprising move. Would have made a lot of sense marketing wise to me to wait until the first shipment has sold to max value on those.

I don't mind if it's made in Mexico. But I don't think it's very likely it'll go to Mexico production. There's not enough capacity in Mexico to build 200k 4Runners along with 250k Tacomas. I think they're basically at full capacity with Tacomas already. I'd guess it would require a new factory in Mexico if they wanted to move production there.

Don't look for the reveal before June to Sep, then don't expect delivery to dealers before next February. This is the start of the drip-drip water torture tease campaign.

We shouldn't have long to wait now, I have it on good authority that the 6th gen 4Runner will be introduced at the Overland Expo this year, now we just have to figure out which month, my guess is May.

There is no doubt that Tahara production is a selling point for some of us. I will consider Mexican production 4R or new Fj at the right price point.

Move to Mexico without rolling back price increases and I lose interest.

Hello everyone.
I'm from Chile and I can't wait to see the new 4Runner here in the south. My only question has to do with the target market where the sixth generation will be sold. Because (although I haven't read the entire thread yet) I know that this 4Runner shares components with the Tacoma, which doesn't exist outside of the USA. Does anyone know if Toyota's strategy includes bringing the 4Runner made for the USA to all of Latin America?

Not sure how I feel about the body style. The gen 3 was amazing and the gen 5 decent as well. The side body panels look weird to me and the back trunk portion area of the body looks raised compared to the front end and weird.
