Was trade my 2011 SR5 for this (2011 FX4 F150):

The SR5 was a big disappointment. The interior felt cheap with all that plastic. Horrible stock radio. Brake sway felt like you were doing an endo on a bike. No driver controlled 2nd row dome light. No 3rd row dome light at all.

And the worst part was the rear sag. Practically dragging bumper when pulling a small popup camper.

Glad I got rid of her.

I regularly tow a 3200# popup camper and I barely lose an inch to sag so I'm a bit lost how yours was so bad. The sag and the soft front end could have been fixed with stiffer springs or bilsteins, much cheaper than a new truck. Glad you like your new Ford, but if that's the best decision of your life then you should have probably thought a bit more before signing on the t4r. And remember, everyone loves their new vehicle at first. In time you will find things you hate about the F150 as well.

Well thanks for posting this on a 4runner forum. Seems like you're the one who got had. Buy an 11 Runner trade for an 11 F150. Of course the Ford dealer who make that deal and give you a great trade. They know they'll sell the Runner super quick.

And why buy an F150 if sag is an issue? Why not buy the F250? Good luck finding a 3rd row dome light in an F150 :lol:

You never know, they might have given him a good deal on his trade. Used sell for more than new around here (believe me, I looked for a used one). Inventories are low, they were begging me to trade in my 07 Tacoma when I bought my 4R last week. They gave me higher than BB on trade..........not bad.

Good luck with the new Ford, it's a beautiful truck! Having said that, I'm going to keep this short and to the point. The F150 is a nice truck, it was the only other vehicle I was considering, after 6 months of back and forth I settled on the 4runner, the 150 I wanted was just too much for me to spend, and I didnt really need a pickup truck bed. I have driven a few with the new 5.0 engine and they drive great, I agree the interior is nicer in the f150. In the end, I could have been equally happy with either, good luck with your new F150, now go to f150 online and start modding that thing.

If it was sagging too much it would have most likely been an improper tongue weight to OA trailer weight. The OP was pretty pointless and without enough info so it does not really merit any response.

I just thought the topic was funny because we just traded in our 11 yo F150 SC yesterday for a new Limited. I went for this specific vehicle anticipating that it would still tow our popup ok. The F150 never had an issue because it is total overkill. I hooked up the popup today to see how much it would sag. It dropped about an inch. With sway control it will likely be fine but I will still install the airbags for insurance. When you get all ready for camping the weight really starts to add up. Even the F150 needed the airbags but it was sometimes towing the trailer with dirt bikes in the bed.

I did not tow it yet because I'd like to break it in a little more and I live in the hills so it will be working hard right out of the driveway.

Anyway I spent a little time years ago getting my tongue weight correct and learning how to load the trailer. It was not always necassary with the 1/2 ton but it always seamed to pull more balanced when I did this.
