My 1995 4runner's muffler is pretty much done and the pipes are rusted away, and im thinking about hacking an old muff off from the junk yard to replace it with. What is the best method to reattach the new exhaust pipe to the current pipe ends? I was thinking about using a hose clamp..would this hold/seal properly?
The reason i am doing this instead of replacing the entire system, south of the Catalytic Coverter, is that if i cant find an old T4R to grab the identical shape pipe from, ill just take any truck muffler, and swap it out in place of the old, hence, hacking and reattaching the pipes in odd places.
