Best way to bleed/flush brake fluid.

Doing the TBU soon, and want to flush fresh fluid thru the system.
What's the best way to do it? And is it something that can be done solo?
I was thinking about maybe pushing fluid from the calipers to the master cylinder (it works on motorcycles) but I'm not sure if that works with ABS.

My limited knowledge of bleeding and someone correct if I'm wrong, but you want to do it the other way around. Push fluid from your master to the calipers. You don't not want to get any air in the master cylinder. You can use something like a powerbleeder from motive products for a one man job. I think its about 50 bucks

i use a hand-held vacuum pump on the bleed screws when doing brakes by myself. They are pretty cheap at the auto parts store.

I use this from time to time to completely flush out my brakes:

That said, I use this as well and it does just fine. Just try and hang it above the cylinder or caliper so air is not drawn back into the line:

Old school:
Before I got the Mityvac bleeder, I'd have my helper help me, using a 2x4 or stack of books to prevent them from pressing the pedal too far/low. Pump pedal softly 2-3 times, then press pedal down, then open bleeder valve, then close bleeder valve, then release pedal. Repeat until no more bubbles come out of the line. Never let off the pedal w/the bleeder valve open, it will suck air back into the system.

Two keys to bleeding brakes:
1. Never let the MC go dry.
2. Try and never draw air into the system.
