Best windshield wipers- tired of the junk!!

I just get a set of plain old walmart Annco every year before winter. Rain X all your windows, wash the wipers when you wash the car and wipe the blades clean and dry and don't run them over ice stuck to the windshield. Oh and park in teh shade if you live down south or out west.

I've have the Icons for about a year now. Still wiping great.

to keep this thread informative: I took my Bosch ION wipers off. They started to squeal and leave a black/rubber mark on my drivers side field of vision. Very weird. Anyway, back with OEM Toyota wipers. At least the inserts are cheap. Wipes very nice....... (and silent!!!!). I won't be buying Bosch wipers again (too expensive).

i too use rainx lattitudes. they are amazing. a bit on the pricey side but worth it. they do really good with snow and sleet and anything that gets on my windshield.

I have no issues with any of the ones I get. I have RainX now. All I can say is, stay away from the ones at Costco. Those were the worst.

I just put a pair of the PIAA SiTech. They are doing a great job so far. What I'm looking forward to is there is no metal arms or spaces for the snow/ice to build up.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Valeo wipers. You can get buy one get one free on Tirerack. Really nice wipers for only ~$20.

take a paper towel & damp it on one side, wipe the wiper blade & dry it with the other, always works for me. (Dust and little other particles can make them streak) I had RainX latitude on my 03 Highlander and they were great, had them on for about 6-8 months and even when I accidentally wiped them dry they wouldn't squeak. I guess they are still going strong, I traded in it almost 2 months ago.

I have always used Rain-X Latitude's and been very happy but I recently tried some Bosch Evolution's on my car and my wife's they're wonderful! A little better than the Rain-X's I'd say. Unfortunately it was $90 to put them on my car and my wife's...

I'm using PIAA Si-Tech blades. The standard ones with metal brackets, I gave up on the internal spring ones because the passenger side end of the blade doesn't ever seem to touch the windshield on the 4r or on my Z71.

The PIAAs are great, easily the best wipers I've ever owned (except maybe the factory ones on my Z71). They never squeak or skip and do an tremendous job of clearing off the rain.

I think the silicone coating on the blades causes them to work similar to rain-x. I know the instructions say to do a dry run and let the wipers run a few times without rain every now and then.

The Bosch Icons, Rain-X Lattitudes, and Valeo Ultimate wipers I had before all seemed to quit working in less than 6 months, or after a couple of season changes, usually losing their effectiveness within 4-5. I've had the PIAAs for almost 6 months now so I'll see if they outlast the others. Good thing is I just need a cheap PIAA refill now instead of the whole blade as with the previous 3 brands.

OME !!! Dont even bother with anything else. I ordered mine from a dealer on ebay, great deal, wipes perfectly and lasts forever compared to the other garbage. (Bought the whole arm so it was changed in about 30 seconds.)

Interesting. My Valeo's are probably two years old. Still wiping clean.

I think we have the Rain X on our Suburban and I can't stand them. They don't form very well to the windshield.

I have an 05 4runner that I replaced with Bosch Icon's I got 22A for driver and 20A for passenger but when I looked at my old wipers I see they were both 26" and overlapped these Bosch Icons have a gap in the middle. Did I get the wrong size?
