Best Wiper Blades?

Ive seen some older threads on this, but figured they might out dated with all the "new technology" wiper blades that have come out.

I had the Rain-X Latitudes on my Mazda6 and they were awesome, so I got a set for the 4R and Im not impressed... They dont seem to hug the windshield that well.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have been thinking about this the last few days as well so this thread is relevant to my interests.

I have the Bosch Icons on my 4runner right now and have had them for about a year. They have been pretty good so far but have been streaking for about 6 months and are starting to crap out on me.

I have Rain-X Quantums on my '08 and they are awesome. I used to use the Latitudes on my former cars, and they did a fantastic job except their fit/curvature to the contours of the windshields was always a little problematic. On some cars more than others. The newer Rain-X model wiper blades seem to have drastically improved.

i have bosch icons and they're the best blades I've ever used, better than any rain-x i used to have on either the 4runner or my subie

I have the icons also. Were great for the first six months or so. But have been streaking worse and worse. Thinking about the new rain-x as a replacement.

I ran the Rain X Latitudes on my truck for nearly 4 years ( waaaay too long but I live in SoCal) and they worked pretty good. I kinda took the logical approach to replacing them though i.e. why pay $20+ for wiper blades when the cheapys from Oreilys are fine. So thats what I did, $10 ea and work great. I have no problem paying extra for synthetic oil, good gear oil and other critical parts but Im not really feeling the "premium" wiper blades. If you live in a wet climate by all means but SoCal? Nope.

i have them on mine and they did great at first. they have not been doing as well lately but im going to clean the windshield tomorrow and see if that makes a difference

I bought OEM blades and have been quite pleased. I read some chats about others recommending them so I tried them for about $7 each.

I go between the Bosch Icons & the equivalent Michelin wiper. Which ever is on sale when I need new ones.

Always liked Bosch, but they were terrible on my runner. Now I just get the Goodyear pones at Costco when they are buy 1 get 1 free. . . . costs about $8 for a set and they do just fine for about a year then I replace.

Ive always gone with Rain-X, if you are having trouble with them hugging the windshield you may can try getting a smaller length. On my Tahoe the passenger side that was "recommended" was too long and didn't hug the outside because of the bend of the windshield. I have heard good things about the Bosch wipers also as stated above.

I've been buying the expensive ones for years, Bosch, Rain-X, special winter wipers... these wipers are really expensive!

The last three years, I've bought the Costco Goodyear wipers, now the so-called Hybrid type, on sale, dirt cheap, four bucks or so a wiper and these are the best and most cost effective ones to date.

In the Colorado winter, with the icy windshield, in the sometimes rainy times and in the hot weather... the wipers have performed well.

Motorcraft. I know some people don't like Ford, but their wipers were the best when I put them on any car I owned in the past. I may put them on the 4Runner too, but I fear it may start breaking due to it being insulted...

Bosch gets my vote. I've used them for several winters with great results. I have tried the Costco ones and the Rain-x and they didn't cut it for me. They didn't hug the windshield as well as the Bosch wipers.

I've always used the Michelin Stealth on my stuff. I just put some on our Mini Cooper and they are awesome, so I just replaced the Motorcraft ones on my Runner with them and they are great!

I've tried Bosch ICONs/Lattitudes/etc etc. They all wipe just fine, but all of them are expensive and "stutter-wipe" (jump and make skipping sound, very annoying) right at the end of driver's side window edge. I've found the OEM ones don't do this nearly as much and are way cheaper. I've also noticed the OEM last longer......................... my 2 cents.

Im kinda anal about my windshield being streak free. My bosch Icon's do okay, but I'm trying siliblade or pisa silicone wipers next. Even though they're around 30 bucks a piece.

I've tried the Costco Goodyear wipers 2 times, they were on sale each time for 5 dollars a piece, and they were in my opinion horrible wipers. They streaked for me every time after about 3-5 days of use. Not even worth my 5 dollars. I've since switched to Kleenview ( The cheap brand from Advance Auto Parts) and they seem to work for me for at least 6 months without streaking.

Personally, I don't see very much variability between the Toyota parts shops and any other sources for OEM blades. The blades were pretty inexpensive no matter where I went, so when I had to replace my wife's Camry blades a couple weeks ago, I opted for the convenience of our nearest Toyota dealer.
