Mileage over 2500 miles- Amazing

I just traveled from Ft Lauderdale Fl to Ashville NC then to Milwaukee WI and back to Ashville

Pulled a 17foot Casita trailer and cargo approx. 3000 lbs total

My 4runner is a 2006 v8 with 106k I bought for $7300 almost 2 years ago

At the time I put in a new timing belt,water pump,hoses,belts,new tires,switched out all the lights to leds

One of the last things I did was to replace the air and cabin filter with K&N filters

Going 60mph in the right lane with the cruise control on I got almost 29 miles a gallon

I was amazed as the numbers kept going up and up

It barely felt like I was towing anything

I'm 65 and It's the last vehicle I'll ever own

Did you hand calculate the mileage or just go by the readout? Either way, that’s the highest reported mileage I’ve ever seen reported for a V8, and even more impressive that you were towing while getting that. That is double my average mileage, even on the highway!

would really like to hear more about this... how did you calculate the mileage? 29 mpg out of any 4runner is incredible, let alone a v8 & TOWING 3000lbs!

dont mean to question your claim but there has to be something off here.
