BFG 30x9.5r15s ATs vs. 265/70r15s RTs

Hey y'all,
I'm in need of some new shoes for my stock '87 4runner and have it narrowed down to two tires and need some advise.
30x9.5r15 BFG ATs (29.5"x9.4" on 7.5" rim)
OR
265/70r15 BFG Rugged Terrains (29.7"x10.7" on 8" rim)
I've have the ATs in 33x10.5r15 before on my wifes old jeep and really loved them. The only complaint I had was they showed a little wear at 10,000 miles from so much road driving. I've never had the RTs before but I had their predecessors the R Trails and put more that 50,000 miles on them before I had to get new ones.
I'm leaning toward the ATs because I really like the old school, off road, pizza cutter look and I think I could get close to 50,000 miles out of them, even with mostly road driving. But I'm very curious about the RTs since they are pretty aggressive looking and come with a 50,000 mile warranty and would likely far exceed the ATs on the road since my Runner is my DD. My question is, with the RTs when it says 10.7" on 8" rim, would it really be more like 10" on the stock Toyota 7" rim? I really don't like the look of a wide tire, which it sounds like this one may be....
Anyway, what are y'alls thoughts, opinions, and/or experience with these models/sizes? Anyone actually running them and wanna post some pics?
