BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 went on sale today

Slightly unrelated but today we received a model for a BFG A/T KO2 promotional stand here at the dealership I work at. The manager chose not to display it so it's now my drink stand haha

Same here, I'd like to compare and contrast a set with the KOs in person. I'm looking forward to seeing how well they sell and the feedback from customers. The KOs sell like hotcakes around here.

Anything to help :thumb3:. There's more to them than whats seen in pictures. Seeing the display model, the KO2 is not as similar to the KO as I first thought. Still waiting for a set to roll through and have them side by side.

If you're interested I also have a chart which explains the purpose of each of the red numbered areas on the display.

Thanks! No lift yet but the tires are 275/70-17, which seem to me like the ideal size for non-lifted 4Runners. I plan to do an upgrade of the stock suspension at some point but will only raise the front about an inch to level things out.

I haven't put these tires to the test yet but I've been pretty happy with the ride thus far. Although, I'm coming from stock tires... not hard to top those things.

LOL. Negative. They are just summer street tires. When I bought this car, they had pizza cutters on them. I think 255/60/17. Something horrible. They worked for awhile, but I'm ready to get KO2s. I just dont want it to drastically affect my MPG.

OK. Good! If you stick to a size close to stock you shouldn't hurt your MPGs too much.

I would get the KO2s before your trip so you know you have good tires on, especially in winter. Tires are one of the most important items on your vehicle.

Hard to say. I changed jobs the week after I put these tires on the truck. My commute is significantly better now (shorter with less surface streets). I need to take a trip to accumulate some more miles before I can really assess the difference. Really though, its a truck. I'd rather have tires that open up the potential of what it was designed for -- going almost anywhere.

Knowing how terrible the stock tires were, I imagine the primary concern in choosing those tires was gas mileage. You'll probably see a dip with any tire you choose... its just a question of how much.

I lost maybe 1MPG or so. The stock tires were chosen strictly by Toyota because they are lightweight and get the advertised MPGs as high as possible. IIRC the stock Dunlops weighed about 39 lbs, vs. 46 lbs for stock size BFG ATs load range C.

Yeah for whatever reason it makes me sick to my stomach when I look at that.

I don't know for sure but it looks like grandma/grandpa has been ramping curbs in the buick again.
