BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 went on sale today

Now confirmed in inventory and selling out of Kal Tire in Canada:

275/55/R20 Load Range D
275/60/R20 Load Range D

Debating putting a set of 275/55/20 D on my stock high Ltd with stock 20s or swaping to 17" with a set of 275/60/17 E. (as it is the only load range available right now in 17" as far as I can tell. Haven't been able to find any of the load range C that were mentioned as available at the Montreal Costco)

They say it shouldent be a problem to fit the 275/55/20 D on the stock LTD 7" rim although they are rated for 7.5" - 9". Any thoughs on this?

I know its been covered before, but not sure how the load range E / this particular tire figures into the equation.

What would you do?

Option 1: Pay to swap the OEMs for BFG KO2 275 75 17 E for another $200 plus mounting...probably $300 out of pocket for the swap. If not happy, sell the BFGs 275 E in the spring and replace with a lighter load rating 265??

Or

Option 2: keep the OEMs, sell them in the spring and just go with the 265s.

Keep OEM's and sell them on Craigslist. I was able to sell the stock 17" Rims and tires for $600, and thats only because I wanted them gone quickly. $600 towards your purchase at America's Tire or Tire Rack will come in handy. Remember, the competition is fierce on tires, and your dealer will probably not be able to touch the price, plus mount, install, and certs, not to mention lifetime balance. Take the time to get the best price, and sell the stockers.

Stock BFG All-Terrain LT265/70 R17 Rubbing

I purchased 4 LT265/70R17 (stock) BFG All Terrains and the front driver side rubs on the inside when i am at full right turn.

Any one else have this issue? Is the resolution to trim the front wheel well plastic?

You can do that or heat it up with a heat gun and push it in with a hammer or something.

I did the heat gun method myself.

Slight trim of lower front outside fender plastic for me. Was not rubbing on mudflap or fender lining.

Get a full steel bumper for the front, that should take care of everything. Haha

So why does it seem like the original T/A KO'KO'S aren't being discounted too much. I expected prices to go down with release of new model.

They are still a great tire (this is apparently highly debatable :director: ), and there are only a handful of KO2 sizes released as of now.

More sizes are on the way (like the 265/70/R17/C in March that is a perfect match for our T4R's), and you can bet once you have a choice of "in stock" KO or KO2 in the same size, the KO's will be discounted or sit in the racks forever...

No issues with my recently purchased 265/70/R17/C KO's over here :nod: (but do wish they were cheaper :nod: ). I wasn't about to compromise and slap the 275 E's on my ride just to get the newer KO2's...

Can anyone tell me when KO2 tires are going to be available to fit 4th Gen tires sizes? I have an 06 T4R and currently running 265/65/17 BGF Rugged terrain.

Someones exhaust came off their vehicle the other moring on the interstate and hit my truck, instantly taking out two of my tires (both passenger side) so now I need to find something QUICK and obviously these KO2's look amazing.
